Terms of Service

Last updated: October 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Seamply app (“the app”), published by Rémy Boiré, sole trader (entreprise individuelle), SIRET 79792605200060 (“the developer”). By installing or using the app you accept them, as well as Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies to every app distributed on the App Store. Where the two differ, the stricter of the two applies. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. Licence

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal or commercial illustration work. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.

2. Beta software

The app is currently distributed as a pre-release beta through Apple TestFlight. Beta software is provided for testing: it may contain defects, may change or stop working at any time, and beta builds expire. Keep your own copies of your artwork. The developer may end the beta programme, or your access to it, at any time and without notice.

3. Your content

Your artwork remains yours. The app processes it on your device. The developer receives a copy only when you submit a pattern (section 4). You are responsible for holding the rights to any image you open in the app.

4. Submitting a pattern

Submitting a pattern is optional. You must be 16 or older, and signed in to iCloud. When you tick the box and tap Submit, you confirm that you are 16 or older and that you made the pattern yourself, without AI, and you let the developer feature it in the app, on seamply.app and on Seamply’s Instagram. This permission is free and non-exclusive:

The developer reviews every submission by hand and may decline any of them without giving a reason. Nothing is shown to anyone before that review. Instagram is run by Meta, and posts there also fall under Instagram’s own terms. What is sent and how long it is kept is described in the Privacy policy.

Each submission records the version of the box’s text you agreed to.

5. Content rules and reports

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abuse. Do not submit anything hateful, sexual, violent, harassing or illegal, or anything that is not your own work. The developer removes any pattern that breaks these rules, and may decline all further submissions from whoever sent it.

If a featured pattern looks wrong to you, tap the Seamply logo at the top of the screen, then Report, and pick a reason. You can also write to contact@seamply.app. The developer acts on every report within 24 hours, and takes the pattern out of the app if it breaks these rules.

6. Feedback

If you send feedback, bug reports or suggestions, the developer may use them to improve the app without obligation or compensation to you.

7. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exported files will meet the requirements of any particular printer, service or workflow.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for loss of data, artwork, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.

9. Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the applicable Apple Media Services Terms of Use.

10. Price

The beta is free. The app may be paid when it is released on the App Store; any purchase is then handled by Apple under Apple’s terms, including refunds.

11. Changes and governing law

These terms may be updated; the current version is always on this page, with its date. Continued use after a change means acceptance. These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory protections of your country of residence.
